Set in North Carolina, Zak is a young man with Down syndrome residing in a nursing home. Inspired by his favorite professional wrestler, The Salt Water Redneck, Zak sets out to train at a wrestling school. To make his dreams come true, Zak breaks out of the facility and ends up running into Tyler, a grieving outlaw who becomes his friend and coach. When Eleanor, a kindhearted caseworker, tries to bring him home, she's convinced to join them on their journey.
