Wednesday, September 266:30—8:00 PMMeeting RoomTewksbury Public Library300 Chandler Street, Tewksbury, MA, 01876

The library's Evening Book Group is reading The Daring Ladies of Lowell by Kate Alcott this month. Moving to the mill city of Lowell in 1832 to escape farm life, young Alice is disillusioned by the local factory's harsh working conditions and struggles to advocate on their behalf while recklessly falling in love with the mill owner's son, a situation that is complicated by a murder and a sensational trail.  New readers and new points of view are always welcome! Books and discussion guides are available at the Front Desk. No registration required.
