BIRDS & BEES WEEK: Inside The World Of Beekeeping

Thursday, March 287:00—8:00 PMMeeting RoomTewksbury Public Library300 Chandler Street, Tewksbury, MA, 01876

Join Julie Kelley, co-owner of Tewksbury Honey, to learn all about beekeeping -- the amazing lives of bees; beehives; problems with colonies; honey production; and the importance of pollination. Did you know that pollinators are directly responsible for 33% of our food supply? Kelley will discuss what can be done to help the honey bee population survive and thrive!

The Kelley family -- Julie, her husband Mike and children Kathryn and Sean -- own and maintain 40 hives around Tewksbury, including two on the grounds of the Tewksbury Public Library. The honey generated from the hives at the library will be donated to the Tewksbury Community Pantry. Tewksbury Honey sells honey and honey products online and at several area Farmers Markets.
